Electro-Acupuncture involves the placing of electrodes on acupuncture needles. This is extremely effective for nerve damage or muscle atrophy resulting from Stroke for example. By applying an electrical impulse which is discontinuous to the affected area the muscle and its nerves will actually wake up and condition. The electric impulse also stimulates circulation to the affected area so that the muscles can receive the nutrients they need in order to regain strength. Electro-Acupuncture may also be used to relax. By applying a continuous and repetitive wave, the signal will tell the muscles, tendons and ligaments to release and relax. This style is used for tendonitis, cramped muscles, and carpal tunnel for example.
